HOW TO ATTACH THE REEL SEAT TO YOUR FLY ROD
(Please refer to the pictures)

1. Saw off the existing reel seat on your fly rod, tight against the back of the cork grip. With sandpaper, make sure the end of the cork grip is perfectly flat.

The inside diameter of your fly rod determines the size (diameter) of the pin. Is the diameter of the pin too small, wind some electrical tape around the pin until it fits, but can easily slide in and out the back of your fly rod.

2. Apply epoxy or compound glue to the threat of the pin and screw it into the reel seat (allow enough time for drying before the reel seat is attached to the fly rod).

3. Apply epoxy or compound glue to the pin and the back side of the reel seat, (only the flat side of the plate that will fit snug against the cork, use the glue sparingly to avoid spillage and clumps). Apply a thin layer of the glue on the flat bottom part of the cork grip.

IMPORTANT:

When the reel seat is attached to the fly rod, make sure that you line it up exactly with the first rod guide. We suggest that you attach the reel to the reel seat then line it up and let it dry.

To position your reel on the reel seat, turn the screw on top only just tight and whenever you adjust the position of your reel on the reel seat, make sure you un-tighten the screw first, reposition the reel and tighten the screw again.
