Alan Henry
FAIR. Water clear 54 degrees; 5.12’ low. Black bass are good to great with finding the shallow structure of vegetation and timber with crankbaits, spinners, and worms. Crappie are fair with jigs off shallow points and in timber. Catfish are fair on live bait, cut bait, and stinkbait.
Amistad
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 65 degrees; 44.79’ low. The spawn is getting stronger as even the large bass are spawning. Black bass are good where the creeks and vegetation are shallower than 6 feet. Shallow rocks and timber are holding a few spawning bass, with larger worms being the best, along with spinners and Carolina rigged worms. White bass are fair, moving back to shallower points on spoons and small crankbait. Catfish are fair on deep points on shrimp, chicken livers, and stinkbait dough balls. Remember to stay on the Texas side of the lake unless you possess a Mexican Fishing License.
Arlington
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 52 degrees; 1.69 low. Largemouth bass are fair on lipless crankbaits, jerk baits, and craws on shorelines, creeks, and brush near creeks. Crappie are fair near boat docks and timber on minnows. Catfish are fair on punch baits and live bait.
Arrowhead
FAIR. Water stained; 55 degrees; 0.26’ low. Largemouth bass are fair, moving to muddy and vegetative banks with worms and spinners. White Bass are fair on shad in following water and points that surround them. Crappie are fair close to creeks and throwing in vegetation. Catfish are fair, losing some aggressiveness on cheese bait, stinkbait, and minnows.
Athens
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 51 degrees; 0.60 high. Largemouth bass are fair on jerk baits, finesse worms, and hair jigs working the riprac, timber, and shorelines. Crappie are good with minnows and jigs in standing timber, creeks, and boat docks. Catfish are good on cut bait. Sunfish are slow on cutworms.
Austin
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 54 degrees; 0.71 low. Largemouth bass are fair on A-rigs, finesse jigs, spinners, and lipless crankbaits in 4-10’. Sunfish are slow on cut earthworms along ledges, boat docks, and brush. Catfish are fair with punch bait, earthworms, and live bait.
B.A. Steinhagen
GOOD. Water stained; 59 degrees; 0.30’ low. Largemouth bass are good to excellent in the delta between the Neches and Angelina, where spawning is strongly stagged. Topwater and plastic worms are all successful. Crappie are fair on jigs spawning in creeks and rivers, looking with a bit less cover with the sun shining through. Catfish are good on cut and prepped bait, moving further north in the lake.
Bastrop
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 53 degrees; Largemouth bass are fair fishing jerk baits, senkos, and crankbaits near creeks and rocky shorelines. Crappie are fair on minnows in brush piles and standing timber in 14-25’. Channel and blue catfish are fair on cut bait, punch bait.
Belton
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 58 Degrees; 0.77 low. Black bass are fair near rocky shorelines, creek edges, and channel drop-offs on A-rigs, orange/green craws, and chatter baits. White bass are fair on the main lake points, creek channels, and drop-offs with flutter spoons, slabs, and swimbaits. Hybrid stripers are fair with swimbaits in the main lake from 25-40’. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs in brush piles, timber, or near a drop-off and deep creek beds. Catfish are good on chicken liver, punch bait, and cut bait.
Benbrook
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 50 degrees; 2.30 low. Largemouth bass are slow fishing Texas-rigged plastic worms, crankbaits, and jerk baits near shorelines, submerged brush, and points. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs fishing structure and brush piles in 11-25’. Hybrid striped bass are slow with live bait. White bass are fair with swimbaits and spoons in the creeks, channels, and humps. Catfish are fair with punch bait or cut bait.
Bob Sandlin
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 51 degrees; 0.10 high. Black bass are good on A-rigs, finesse jigs, chatter baits, spoons, and skirted jigs in 12-18’’ near creek bends, timber, rocky shorelines, and drop-offs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs in brush piles and near open water bait schools. Catfish are fair on cut bait and punch bait in 12-25 near baited holes.
Braunig
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 61-64 degrees; Largemouth bass are good on the edges of rock structure and in the natural vegetation on plastic worms, spinners, and jigs. Striped bass are fair mid-lake. Red drum are good, with large catches becoming the norm in March. Surface activity and schooling are the only way to locate them using live bait. Catfish are good on live bait and cheese bait.
Bridgeport
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 48 degrees; 4.08 low. Black bass are slow on plastic worms, craws, and spoons fishing main lake points near riprac, creek drop-offs, rocky shorelines, and channel ledges. Crappie are fair on minnows fishing bridges, timber, and brush piles. White bass are good on main lake ridges, flats, channels, and creeks. Hybrid stripers are fair along the main lake channel with swimbait. Catfish are fair on cut bait and prepared bait.
Brownwood
GOOD. Water stained; 51 degrees; 3.05 low. Largemouth bass are slow with spinners, crankbaits, and jigs in coves, shorelines, and timber in 8-15’. Crappie are good on minnows in brush piles and timber edges near a creek channel or drop-off. White bass and hybrids are good on spoons and swimbaits in the creeks. Catfish are good on punch bait and cut bait in 12-25’ near baited areas.
Buchanan
GOOD. Water clear; 56 degrees; 6.85 low. Largemouth bass are good with Texas-rigged plastic worms, shad like crankbaits, jigs, jerk baits, and craws. Striped bass are good along the river channel with live bait and swimbaits. White bass are good on silver spoons, crankbaits, and swimbaits in the creeks and main lake points. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs in 15-25’ fishing docks, timber, and brush piles. Channel catfish are fair on punch bait. Blue cats are good on cut bait.
Caddo
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 52 degrees; 1.87 high. Largemouth bass are fair working bladed spinners, square billed crankbaits, skirted jigs, and small swimbaits near channel edges, boat docks, and creek mouths. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs near brush piles and timber near a drop-off or creek channel in 14-24’. White bass are good on slabs in the main lake. Chain pickerel are fair with spoons and small jigs. Catfish are fair on punch bait, chicken liver, and cut bait fishing baited holes near channels and timber edges.
Calaveras
FAIR. Water stained; 64-68 degrees; Red drum are good, and the season is very productive so far. There is surface activity when using live bait and working mid-lake. Black bass are good looking between 2-8 feet depth close to vegetation. Hybrid striped bass are fair on rattletraps moving mid-lake close to drums. Catfish are good on stinkbait, chicken livers, and cut shad.
Canyon Lake
GOOD. Water clear; 58 degrees; 5.84 low. Striper fishing is good along the river channel with live bait and swimbaits. White bass are good on humps, flats, and ridges with slabs and creeks with small swimbaits and rooster tails. Largemouth bass are fair with jigs and plastic finesse worms near points, timber, shorelines, and rock piles. Smallmouth bass are good on small swimbaits, plastic grubs, and small cranks in 3-8’ along rock ledges and steep rocky shorelines. Catfish are good with prepared baits and cut bait. Crappie are fair with live minnows near timber in 18-30’.
Cedar Creek
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 52 degrees; 0.02 high. Largemouth bass are good working spinners, skirted jigs, and lipless crankbaits on creeks, shorelines, and boat docks near a channel or point. Hybrids and sand bass are good on main lake points and creeks with swimbaits, slabs, and jigging spoons. Crappie are good with minnows and jigs in brush piles, boat docks, and bridges in 11-24’. Some crappie are in deeper water 30-40’ near bait schools. Catfish are fair in 15-25’ with cut bait and live bait.
Choke Canyon
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 64-67 degrees; 22.82’ low. Largemouth bass are good consistently in the Frio and working about 5 feet out from vegetation on jigs, plastic worms, and crankbait. White bass are fair, with points closer to the lake's ends with small crankbaits and plastics. Catfish are consistently good on larger live bait, cut baits, and stinkbait.
Cisco
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 53 degrees; 5.91’ low. Largemouth bass are fair, continuing just a bit shallower still among creeks and timber. Topwater has returned slightly, so stick to spinners, worms, and crankbait. Sunfish are fair with nightcrawlers and cutworms with some increased success at night. Crappie are fair on jigs staying close to sunny calm water and creek vegetation. Catfish are fair with slowing movement on stinkbait, nightcrawlers, and chicken livers night and day.
Coleman
FAIR. Slightly stained. 53 degrees. 3.23’ low. Hybrid stripers are fair to good on rattletraps following baitfish on the edge of cove borders. Largemouth bass are fair to good as activity and aggressiveness picks up. Catfish are fair using stinkbait and cut bait around cove entrances within 4 feet of the bottom.
Conroe
GREAT. Water stained; 63 degrees; 0.07’ high. Largemouth bass are great, moving quickly in vegetation and in the Sam Houston Forest on shad imitating baits. Crappie are good on minnows working marinas and boat docks as the perfect cover. Hybrid Striped Bass are good working mid-lake following schools of baitfish. Catfish are good on stinkbait and cut bait. Sunfish are good with live worms or crickets in shallow water.
Cooper
Good. Water lightly stained; 48 degrees;0.36 high. Largemouth bass are fair on plastic grubs, crankbaits, and football jigs. The white bass and hybrids are good in 25-35’ with slabs and over humps, ridges, and in main lake creeks. Crappie are good with minnows and jigs on brush piles and near timber. Catfish are good on cut bait and in punch bait 10-20’.
Corpus Christi Lake
GOOD. Water stained; 65 degrees; 7.95’ low. Largemouth bass are great in weed beds with many 6lb and under catches. Larger lunkers are starting to move up. Fish topwater splashers along with worms and spinners. White bass are fair, settling around 12-18 feet on crankbait. Crappie are fair with live bait still very shallow. Catfish are fair to good on cut bait, and cheese bait.
Eagle Mountain
FAIR. Water clear; 51 degrees; 2.06 low. Black bass are slow fishing drop shots, jerk baits, jigs, and spinners near timber, brushy shorelines, boat docks, and brush piles. White bass are fair with slabs, fishing humps, flats, and drop-offs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs between 15-25’ working docks, submerged brush, and standing timber. Catfish are fair on earthworms, cut bait, and punch bait.
Falcon
GOOD. Water stained north and clearer south; 66 degrees; 40.43’ low. All fish species are great moving, eating, and showing why Falcon has the reputation as the best fishery in Texas. Black bass are good with all sizes and shapes. The edges of banks and creeks are the only keys. You could easily catch every cast if you work smartly. Fish topwater, shaky heads, soft plastics, and senokos, you really can’t go too wrong. Crappie are good, pushing forward in creeks with basically no activity over brush. Catfish are excellent working creek points using live bait and stinky bait. Remember to stay on the Texas side unless you possess a Mexican Fishing License.
Fayette
SLOW. Water lightly stained; 54 degrees; Largemouth bass are slow on crankbaits, spinners, and plastic worms. Sunfish are slow on cut earthworms. Catfish are fair on earthworms and cut bait near baited areas.
Fork
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 56 degrees; 0.25 low. Largemouth bass are fair on bladed spinners, crankbaits, chatter baits, and skirted jigs near points, roadbeds, brush piles, timber, and shorelines. White and yellow bass are fair with slabs and jigging spoons. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs in 28-45’ near docks and bait schools in the main lake. Catfish are fair on punch bait and cut bait in 12-30’.
Ft. Phantom Hill
FAIR. Water stained; 54 degrees; 2.30’ low. White and hybrid striped bass are fair, just a bit shallower around 14 feet, always moving with minnows and schools. Largemouth bass are good with pre-spawn behavior around 8 feet and searching for food on spinners, crankbait, and buzzbaits straying away from vegetation. Crappie are good on minnows working larger structures. Catfish are fair at night on cut shad and stinkbait.
Gibbons Creek
FAIR. Water stained; 64 degrees; 1.92’ low. Largemouth bass are phenomenal in shallow creek beds and vegetation with white and yellow worm baits. Crappie are fair on jigs fishing the thick vegetation and just under from them when you can. Catfish are fair on live shad deeper, staying close to points around 15 feet.
Graham
FAIR. Water clear; 56 degrees; 1.29 low. Largemouth bass are fair on craws, football jigs, and jerk baits in timber and near docks, points, shorelines, and timber near a creek channel. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs in deep channel bends, brush piles, and under deeper boat docks. White bass are good on rooster tails and spoons in creeks and on points. Hybrid stripers are fair on live bait in 25-45’. Catfish are fair on cut bait and punch bait near baited areas.
Granbury
GOOD. Water clear; 54 degrees; 0.01 low. Largemouth bass are fair on spinners, baits, senkos, and hair jigs in 5-15’ near points, rocky shorelines, and rock ledges. Crappie fishing is good around boat docks with minnows. Catfishing is slow with cut bait and punch bait. Stripers are good with swimbaits and A-rigs along the main lake channel in 35-45’.
Granger
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 55 degrees; 0.40 high. Black bass are fair on crankbaits, jerk baits, and skirted jigs near rocky shorelines, brushy creeks, and timber in 6-15’. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs on brush piles and timber near a drop-off in 14-28’. White bass are good on small swimbaits, spoons, and jigs near lake channels and in the creeks. Catfish are fair on punch bait. Yellow cats are fair with live bait.
Grapevine
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 51 degrees; 0.22 high. Largemouth bass are fair on chatter baits, jigs, and crankbaits near timber, deep points, and steep rocky shorelines. White bass are slow in 20-35’ with slabs and white swimbaits near main lake humps. Flats and channel drop-offs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs in marinas and near submerged structures. Catfish are fair on punch bait and cut bait.
Greenbelt
SLOW. Water stained; 53 degrees; 39.56’ low. Black bass are fair as the activity picks up as a precursor to spawning on spinners, thick-weighted worms, and jigs. Catfish are fair on live bait in both shallow and deep water. Walleye are better but still waiting for a significant warm-up. Sunfish and crappie are fair lacking habitat and using submerged vegetation. White bass are slow.
Houston County
FAIR. Water stained; 64 degrees; 0.20’ high. Black bass are good working close to secluded vegetative coves and the addition of timber working spinners and Carolina rigs. Crappie are fair working timber and the banks nearby on jigs. Catfish are fair using live and cut shad, as well as boiled deer corn.
Hubbard Creek
FAIR. Water stained; 53 degrees; 2.70’ low. Largemouth bass are fair, working just out from creeks and the shallow side of timber on crankbaits and worms. Crappie are fair on minnows in creeks and calm water with structure covering drops. White bass are fair as points return as the main habitat with small crankbaits and jigs. Catfish are fair on live and cut shad retreating to deeper water below 12 feet.
Jacksonville
SLOW. Water clear; 49 degrees; 0.15 high. Largemouth bass are slow with spinners, brush hogs, jigs, and jerk baits near docks, rip-rac, timber, and deep structure. Crappie are slow on minnows in creek ledges. Catfish are fair on punch bait.
Joe Pool
FAIR. Water clear; 53 degrees; 1.35 low. Largemouth bass are fair fishing jigs, jerk baits, craws, and crankbaits, along channel ledges, steep bank edges, and flooded trees. Crappie are fair near brush piles, timber, and the dam on minnows and jigs in 20-40’. Catfish are fair on prepared baits and cut bait.
Lake O' the Pines
FAIR. Water stained; 49 degrees; 3.10 high. Largemouth bass are fair on drop shots, jigs, tubes, and jerk baits. Crappie are fair on minnows in the brush piles and open water bait schools near the dam. Catfish are fair with cut bait or punch bait in baited areas.
Lavon
GOOD. Water stained; 52 degrees; 0.40 high. Crappie are good on minnows or jigs fishing main lake bait schools. White bass are good in the creeks with silver spoons, rooster tails, and small swimbaits. Black bass are fair on diving crankbaits, spoons, and craws in 4-12’. Catfish are good on cut bait, nightcrawlers, and punch bait in 14-28’.
LBJ
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 51 degrees; 0.73 low. Black bass are fair on shaky heads, jerk baits, jigs, and crankbaits worked near shorelines, main lake points, and rock ledges. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs around brush piles, rock ledges, and docks. White bass are good over main humps and creeks with jigging spoons and slabs. Catfish are slow on punch bait and cut bait in 14-28’ in baited areas.
Lewisville
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 52 degrees; 0.14 high. Black bass are fair fishing points, rocky shorelines, and brush with the skirted jigs, umbrella rigs, chatter baits, and crankbaits. White bass are good on small swimbaits and spoons in creeks. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs around brush piles and bait schools near the dam. Catfish are fair on cut bait and punch bait near baited areas.
Limestone
GOOD. Water clear; 56 degrees; 0.05 high. Largemouth bass are good on chatterbaits, crankbaits, spoons, and football jigs along ledges, creek channels, and off rocky shorelines. White bass are good with slabs near the main lake channel in 20-35’ and in the creeks with rooster tails and small swimbaits. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs around ledges, brush piles, and submerged timber. Catfish are good on punch bait.
Livingston
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 65 degrees; 0.04’ low. Largemouth bass are good on Carolina rigged worms, spinners, and jigs working creeks and the in-between vegetation with sand. Striped bass are fair on spoons sticking to the first ledge under 14 feet. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are excellent in creeks working small spinners and live bait. Catfish are fair on live baits throughout and excel at night.
Martin Creek
SLOW. Water lightly stained; 60 degrees; 0.09 high. Largemouth bass are slow on jigs, jerk baits, crankbaits, and swimbaits in 18-25’. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs in 12-28’ in timber and brush piles. Catfish are slow on punch bait and live bait in 20-30’.
Medina
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 67 degrees; 34.53’ low. Black bass are great with so much activity settling wherever creeks and vegetative on worms, topwater, and bass jigs. Crappie are good pushing short shelves with vegetation on jigs. White bass are fair, owning the brush piles and points on spoons and small crankbait. Striped bass are fair mid-lake seeing below surface activity following schools. Smallmouth bass are good with white grubs and jigs following baitfish into shallow coves. Catfish are fair on live bait, chicken livers, and blood baits in the inflow from feeder creeks.
Meredith
SLOW. Water stained; 52 degrees; 51.04’ low. Black bass are slow searching the submerged vegetation as the healthy fish try to feed. Walleye are fair with slowly reeling small crankbait. Crappie are fair within substantial structure on jigs. White bass are slow. Channel catfish are fair fishing stinkbait and cut bait.
Millers Creek
FAIR. Water stained; 51 degrees; 0.17’ low. Largemouth bass are fair with mid-depth movement between 8-15 feet on worms, jigs, spinners, and topwater on calm, clear mornings. Crappie are fair, moving towards creeks and some timber on live bait. White bass are fair off points and moving towards shallows. Catfish are fair mid-depth in coves with live, blood, and liver prepared baits.
Naconiche
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 62-64 degrees; Largemouth bass are good as topwater emerges early casting vegetation edges and in the backs of coves on jigs, crankbaits, and spinners. Crappie are fair on jigs in creeks, working vegetation around the sandy flats near creeks. Sunfish are fair on jigs and crickets. Catfish are good on dough balls, cut, and live bait.
Nasworthy
FAIR. Water stained; 55 degrees. 0.98’ low. Black bass remain fair, staying close to creeks and thick vegetation edges on soft plastic baits. Crappie are fair on jigs working the big structures and shallow brush to provide them cover. White bass are fair as points near the edges of the lake are successful. Catfish are fair on live and prepped baits throughout the lake.
Navarro Mills
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 54 degrees; 0.08 high. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs around the marina and brush piles in 12-25’. Catfish are fair with punch bait and cut bait. White bass are good on small swimbaits and spoons in creeks. Black bass are fair with plastic worms, chatter baits, spinners, and crankbaits near docks, brush piles, and timber.
O.C. Fisher
FAIR. Water stained; 54 Degrees. 41.94’ low. Largemouth Bass are fair moving between vegetative structures and staying between 4-9 feet on plastic worms, spinners, and jigs. Crappie are fair near drops and submerged vegetation. White bass are fair on points and island structures on the drops near 12-14 feet. Catfish are fair on stinkbait, live, and cut bait.
O.H. Ivie
FAIR. Water clear; 54 degrees; 13.20’ low. Black bass are fair as spawn moves to center stage. Typical staging places are the aquatic vegetation, especially in river arms on bass jigs and thick worms. Crappie are fair on live minnows choosing natural structures, especially at night. Catfish are good on stinkbait, live, and cut bait.
Oak Creek
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 55 degrees; 4.06’ low. Largemouth bass are fair, staying in the flooded vegetation fishing worms and bass jigs through the forest. Crappie are fair on jigs, especially on structure on points and under docks. White bass are fair on small rattle traps moving out from creeks to drops or deeper coves nearby. Catfish are fair on trotlines, nightcrawlers, live bait, and cut bait.
Palestine
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 52 degrees; 0.46 high. Largemouth bass are fair working football jigs, skirted jigs, craws, and chatter baits near points, creek, and coves. Crappie are fair on minnows around docks, bridge columns, and timber near a creek or drop off in 12-25’. Hybrid stripers are fair on live bait, A-rigs, and swimbaits. White bass are good on rooster tails, swimbaits, and spoons in creeks. Catfish are fair on punch bait and cut bait.
Palo Pinto
FAIR. Water clear; 53 degrees; 2.04 low. Largemouth bass are fair on points, flats, brushy or rocky shorelines with bladed spinners, finesse worms, medium crankbaits, and hair jigs. Crappie are good on minnows near bridge columns and docks. White bass are good on slabs and jigging spoons near creeks, points, and flats. Possum Kingdom
FAIR. Water clear; 54 degrees; 0.50’ low. Largemouth bass are good in flooded vegetation moving upriver, seeking structure on worms, and finding the main lake's calmer spots. Crappie are fair on jigs looking in submerged vegetation no deeper than 12 feet. White bass are fair on crankbaits among steep drops and coming out from shallow coves and creeks. Striped bass are fair finding the drop with baitfish. Catfish are good on cut bait, live sunfish, and stinkbait.
Proctor
GOOD. Water lightly stained, 51 degrees; 0.41 low. Largemouth bass are good on finesse worms, jerk baits, cranks, and skirted jigs in near brushy creeks, timber edges, and rocky shorelines. Hybrid stripers are fair with swimbaits in the main lake around 30-45’. Crappie are fair with minnows in 14-28’ in creek mouths, timber, and brush piles. Catfish are good on cut bait and punch bait.
Raven
FAIR. Water stained; 63 degrees; Largemouth bass are good as spawn feeding strengthens in fingers with worms and spinners in less than 6 feet. Sunfish are fair on cutworms striking quick and hard from undercover and better at night.
Ray Hubbard
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 52 degrees; 0.05 low. Largemouth bass are fair on football jigs, plastic worms, jerk baits, and lipless crankbaits near banks, creeks, and drop-offs. White bass are good in creeks and near main lake flats, humps, and points in 20-35’. Crappie are good near deep brush piles and main lake channels with minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on cut bait.
Ray Roberts
FAIR; Water lightly stained; 53 degrees; 0.31 low. Largemouth bass are fair on crankbaits, plastic worms, and football jigs near drop-offs, timber, points, and the dam. White bass are fair in 25-45’ on slabs near main lake points, flats, and drop-offs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs around docks, bridge columns, and the bait schools near the dam. Catfish are slow on punch bait and cut bait.
Richland Chambers
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 53 degrees; 0.12 low. Largemouth bass are slow on plastic worms and crankbaits fishing near deep boat docks, points, creeks, and submerged timber. White bass and hybrids are fair on live bait, slabs, and spoons on flats, creeks, and humps. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs on bridge pilings, in brush piles, and near bait schools close to the dam. Catfish are good on cut bait and nightcrawlers. Bream are slow.
Sam Rayburn
FAIR. Water stained; 65 degrees; 0.63’ low. Largemouth bass are good, staying within the Angelina River's vicinity on spinners, worms, and topwater. White bass are fair on minnows working drops starting at 10 feet. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs near Lavaca Creek structures. Catfish are good on live and stinkbait.
Somerville
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 47 degrees; .1.86 low. White bass and hybrids are good with swimbaits and slabs on main lake flats, points, ridges, inlets, and creeks. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs in the main lake or in brush piles and flooded timber in 12-28’. Catfish are fair with punch bait and shrimp. Largemouth are fair with drop shots, crankbaits, and jigs near the timber, creek bends, drop-offs, rocky shorelines, and roadbeds.
Spence
FAIR. Water stained; 55 degrees; 40.68’ low. Largemouth bass are fair in flooded vegetation as activity picks up fishing topwater poppers, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and buzzbaits. There has been a lot of mid-sized success. Crappie are slow on jigs. White bass are slow. Catfish are fair on live and cut bait around 12 feet with increased catches at night.
Stamford
FAIR. Water stained; 55-57 degrees; 0.22’ high. Black bass are fair staging in the shallow flats in the bulrush and cattails. Alternate between slow and fast reeled bass jigs, crankbaits, and Carolina rigged worms. Crappie are good vertically fishing minnows close to structure. White bass are fair searching deep river spots and coming out from creeks on small crankbait. Catfish are fair on live bait, and stinkbait prepped pellets.
Stillhouse
GOOD. Water clear; 51 degrees; 0.41 high. Black bass are fair on chatter baits, skirted jigs and A-rigs working creeks, brush piles, ledges, and points. Smallmouth bass are fair with small jigs and plastic grubs near rocky shorelines, creek ledges, and drop-offs. Crappie are good on minnows in brush piles and standing timber in 14-28’. White bass are good on slabs off main lake ridges, humps, drop-offs, and along the dam. Channel catfish are fair with punch bait. Blue cats are good with fresh-cut bait.
Sulphur Springs
SLOW. Water lightly stained; 57 degrees; 0.71 low. Largemouth bass are fair on jigs, plastic worms, and crankbaits near points, creek bends, and fallen timber. Crappie are fair on minnows in 10-20’ near brush piles and standing timber. Catfish are slow on punch bait.
Tawakoni
GOOD. Water stained; 52 degrees;0.48 high. Blue catfish are excellent on fresh-cut bait. Channel catfish are good on punch bait. Largemouth bass are fair on crankbaits, brush hogs, skirted jigs, and jerk baits. White bass and hybrid stripers are good on swimbaits near ridges and humps in the main lake. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs around brush piles, docks, bridge pilings, and main lake bait schools.
Texana
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 67 degrees; 0.74’ low. Largemouth bass are great, still shallow between 3-6 feet with soft plastics, jigs, spinners, and Texas rigged worms. Thick vegetation and thick fallen timber is the key. Crappie are good on jigs experiencing a feeding frenzy in some spots. Catfish are good on stinkbait, cut bait, and live bait. Trotlines are excellent and effective for all species of catfish using live bait.
Texoma
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 54 degrees; 2.78 low. Striped bass are good on swimbaits and live shad. White bass are good on swimbaits and spoons in creeks. Largemouth bass are fair fishing A-rigs, crankbaits, jerk baits, and gold spoons in 15-30’. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs near deep boathouses, timber, and brush piles in 18-32’. Catfish are fair on punch bait and cut bait.
Toledo Bend
GOOD. Very clear south, stained north; 54-56 degrees; 2.34’ low. Black bass are good as all parts of the lake are in spawn in multiple vegetation spots, especially on points that have been successful with worms. White bass are fair, working north around 12-18 feet. Crappie are good to great in 4-6 feet on road runners and jigs. Channel and blue catfish are fair on cut bait and stinkbait.
Travis
GOOD. Water clear; 59 degrees; 22.27 low. Largemouth bass are good with crankbaits, jigs, chatter baits, drop shots, and red craws near rock piles, shorelines, and ledges. White bass are good with white slabs and chartreuse swim baits working the main lake channel, drop-offs, and creeks. Striper action along the main river channel is fair with live bait and swimbaits. Crappie are good on minnows in 11-30’ near docks, brush piles, and rock ledges. Catfish are good on cut bait and prepared baits in 10-20’.
Twin Buttes
FAIR. Water Stained. 52-55 Degrees. 11.60’ low. Black bass are fair to good as feeding activity has really picked up. Movement is sporadic but don’t wander far from creeks and vegetation with worms and crankbait. Crappie are fair, continuing in the Concho River and seeing the activity around man-made structures upriver. Catfish are fair on live prepped and cut bait.
Tyler
FAIR. Water clear; 51 degrees; 0.31 high. Black bass are fair on crankbaits, jigs, and bladed spinners fishing docks, shorelines, and creeks. Crappie are slow on minnows in brush piles, structure, and timber in 15-30’. Catfish are fair on punch bait and cut bait. White bass are fair.
Waco
FAIR. Water clear; 56 degrees; 0.72 low. Largemouth bass are fair on finesse jigs, lipless crankbaits, shaky heads, and chatterbaits near the creek ledges and timber. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs fishing bridge pilings and brush piles in 14-28’. Sunfish are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on punch bait and cut bait.
Walter E. Long
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 54 degrees; Largemouth bass are good on drop shots, crankbaits, and jigs near timber, creek ledges, and brushy shorelines. Hybrid stripers are good with live bait. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs in 14-28’ near brush piles and timber. Catfish are fair on cut bait and live bait. Sunfish are slow.
Weatherford
FAIR. Water clear; 49 degrees; 1.32 low. Largemouth bass are fair on football jigs, crankbaits, and finesse worms near rocky shorelines and creeks, fallen timber, and brush. White bass are good in creeks on silver spoons and swimbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows around docks, creeks, and submerged cover. Catfish are fair on punch bait.
White River
SLOW. Water murky; 52-54 degrees; 24.58’ low. Drought conditions are still in place. Please check boat ramp access. Largemouth bass are fair working shallow structures as the spawn is closing in on our bass population. Crappie are fair still best on warm days jigs around the island and thick vegetation. Walleye are slow but improving with some catches. Catfish are fair on live bait, cut bait, and prepared bait near the Marina.
Worth
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 53 degrees; 2.06 low. Largemouth bass are fair with finesse worms, crankbaits, craws, and chatter baits working creek mouths, shorelines, and boat docks. Crappie are fair on minnows, fishing brush piles, timber that lines a creek channel or drop-off, and under docks. Catfish are good on live bait and punch bait.
Wright Patman
FAIR. Water stained; 49 degrees; 10.50 high. Largemouth bass are fair on crankbaits, tubes, and drop shots along creek channels, timber, and rocky points. White bass are fair on swimbaits in the creeks. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs near structure and brush piles. Catfish are slow on punch bait and live bait.
