      Rock - Sam Morton of Easton,
      Kansas pocketed $950 when his 14.69 lbs of fish earned him first
      place in the amateur division of the Heartland Pro Am held on
      Table Rock Lake. Patrick Lewis of Hesston, Kansas placed
      third, but won more money when his earnings for third and big
      bass were combined for a total of $1,220. Read

      Ala.  Mike McClelland of
      Bella Vista, Ark., leads a field of 10 pro anglers going into
      the final two days of competition in the CITGO Bassmaster Open
      Championship on the Alabama River. McClelland, who led after
      the first round Thursday, went back to the main river Friday,
      garnering another five-bass limit for a two-day total of 29 pounds.
      He has 2-pound, 7-ounce lead over his closest competitor, Rick
      Morris of Lanexa, Va. At the end of the second round, Morris

      Ala. - Pro angler Mike McClelland
      of Bella Vista, Ark., fished in the fast lane of the Alabama
      River to take the Day 1 lead in the high-stakes CITGO Bassmaster
      Open Championship on Thursday. McClelland weighed-in a five-bass
      limit of 17 pounds, 12 ounces. His closest competitor, Matt Reed
      of Madisonville, Texas, weighed one of the nearly 30 limits caught
      to score 14-12. Fellow Arkansas angler Doug Garrett was in third
